When I was a child I rarely admitted defeat, but there is one lost battle that still haunts me to this day.
Perhaps it was because the lower case “t” resembles a cross or that "Hooked on Phonics" just didn't work for me, but for part of my childhood I called church “turch”. Until one day when our pastor’s daughter, who was five years… I mean a little younger than me, corrected my spelling error. I had no choice but to accept my humiliating defeat.
I think that is why I started to take spelling bees so seriously.
And why I like harassing others about their misuse of the English language.
And for the record "blogs" are free from any grammatical scrutiny.

"From small beginnings come great things."
This blog is dedicated to all the great intellectual and humorous thoughts of Justin Della-Moretta (Also affectionately known of as JDM).
Around four years ago someone suggested I capture my awesome mental meanderings in a segment to be called "Deep Thoughts with JDM". It is only now that I have realized and embraced the brilliance of this person's idea.
My aim is to post a thought every week that makes you laugh, cry, sigh, ask yourself why, and above all inspires you. I will put myself on the line for the sake of you, my loyal fans.
I know I have piqued your interest and you're craving my first "deep thought". But alas, you must wait. As they say, patience is a virtue. I'm not sure who "they" are, but I'd like to consider myself one of them.
